Teal was started as a project in university as part of my masters degree. It was developed in a team of three people, Martin Kernjak, Michael Knett and me (Josua Kucher). The game is part of a genre that is called “We go”, this refers to both players taking action at the same time in a turn-based game.
For Teal this means players will make strategic decisions without knowledge of the other player’s decision for this turn, meaning they need to also weigh their options form the opponent’s point of few.
It features a variety of weapons, and special tiles on the map which spice up the combat like shields, turrets, etc. There are also a variety of maps available that can be played and replays of matches will be saved to the player’s device, so they can watch their matches back after a game.
Teal also has fully functional multiplayer for both local area network as well as through the Steam API. This is also the main way to play Teal.
